DECOMPOSITION - Book Launch

On 28 October 2026, the New School of the Anthropocene celebrated the launch of Decomposition, the first publication from its in/kiostro imprint, at Subtitle Labs in London.

Edited by Victor Rees and Damian Walsh, Decomposition brings together work by established and emerging voices, including Iain Sinclair, Andrew Kötting, Tessa Farmer, Eleanor Crook, Eric Langley, Stephen Watts, Gareth Evans, Sophie Herxheimer, Stephen Emmerson, Chiara Ambrosio and Timothy J. Jarvis.

“The termite and the silverfish are lying in wait, lurking in the cracks around your bookshelf, in the gaps between your laptop keys . . .”

The anthology traces connections between physical decay and the entropies of language and thought. The launch brought together contributors, students and friends of the School for an evening of readings and conversation.

A selection of photographs from the evening follows.
